Psychological Profile

Stephanie Lenslow is an optimistic, easy-going, yet determined individual who takes great pride in her work as an engineer.

While Stephanie originally had some difficulty adjusting to the lifestyle of a department head, having a preference for hands-on activity rather then delegating the tasks associated with maintaining and troubleshooting starship systems to subordinates, she has since grown accustomed to the responsibilities of a leadership position. She attributes part of this to having good role models in the field, following the examples of previous engineers whom she had served under.

Despite this, Stephanie will often tackle a task personally, especially when there is little else that requires her attention. Lenslow prefers working on engineering tasks and troubleshooting problems rather then sitting behind a desk doing paperwork, although she recognizes the importance of the latter.

Hobbies Archery, Fantasy-based holodeck programs, tinkering with unfamiliar devices.
Other Information Stephanie remains in contact with Chandra Torine, a close friend who is currently serving as the commanding officer of the U.S.S. Sumter. The two have previously worked on creating a fantasy-based holodeck adventure together, and intend to continue work on the program once they have the opportunity to collaborate on the project once again.

HISTORY
2341: Stephanie is born in San Francisco on Earth, the daughter of a Starfleet Engineer, and her parent's second child. Despite the family commitments, her father remains in service aboard the U.S.S. Bormanis. Stephanie's father does take annual leave to visit his family, however.
2346: At the age of 5, Stephanie is enrolled in the local educational system by her parents.
2351:Sparked by her curiosity, Stephanie begins studying the technology that she and her family are exposed to on a regular basis, and in some cases she is able to dismantle the devices to get a closer look at their inner workings. It wouldn't be until a few years later that she learns how to reassemble the devices she dismantles.
2352: Stephanie's father is killed in action when the U.S.S. Bormanis is destroyed by a gravimetric mine in the Beloti sector during the Federation-Cardassian war.
2360:Stephanie graduates from High School. After narrowly failing to gain admission to Starfleet Academy through the entrance exam, Stephanie enrolls in a six week Academy Preparatory program sponsored by Starfleet Academy to improve her chances for admission the following year.
2361: Stephanie enrolls in Starfleet Academy. Following through on her technical exploits as a child, she majors in starship engineering.
2363:In her third year at the Academy, Stephanie shares her Academy quarters with Chandra Torine, a half-Betazoid who had previously dropped out of classes. The two become close friends during their two years together at the Academy, and the friendship continues after they graduate.
2365: Stephanie graduates from Starfleet Academy, and is assigned as a junior engineering technician aboard the U.S.S. Nautilus, a Miranda-class starship.
2367:Lenslow is promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, Junior Grade. The promotion reflects her additional duty requirements aboard the Nautilus
2369: Stephanie is transferred to the U.S.S. Magellan, a Constellation-class starship.
2370:Stephanie is promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, and is made the third-shift department lead for the Magellan's engineering department.
2372: Stephanie is transferred to the U.S.S. Sumter, an Excelsior-class starship, as the Sumter's Chief Engineer. The transfer includes a promotion to the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
2373:Chandra Torine transfers to the Sumter as the ship's first officer, reuniting the two friends.
2375: Stephanie's mother is killed when Breen forces, in a surprise attack, break through Earth's defenses and attack San Francisco.
The Sumter is later assigned as part of the combined Federation, Klingon, and Romulan fleet which set out to take Cardassia and end the war. During the battle the Sumter takes extensive damage, resulting in the death of the ship's commanding officer. Chandra assumes command of the Sumter, with Stephanie filling in as the executive officer. Despite this, the Sumter is unable to press on to Cardassia, instead offering assistance to Alliance ships disabled during the initial battle.
2376: The Sumter's crew volunteer at Starfleet Academy, running Starfleet cadets through mock simulations of Borg attacks, while the Sumter is repaired.
After six months of reconstruction, the Sumter is once again able to enter active duty. Chandra is promoted to Captain, making her position on the Sumter official. Stephanie is promoted to Commander, although she turns down the position of First Officer to remain the ship's Chief Engineer. The Sumter's new mission has the ship patrolling the former Demilitarized Zone between Federation and Cardassian space.
2380: Stephanie is transferred off the Sumter and assigned to the newly commissioned USS Wyvern.
